Dear Colleagues:
Below you will find a post-doctoral/research fellow position
announcement for research in photorefractive materials at Rose-Hulman
Institute of Technology. Please inform any of your colleagues or
students who may be interested in spending one or two years working
with us. I will be happy to seriously consider your recommendations.
Azad Siahmakoun
Professor of Physics and Applied Optics
Email:Azad.Siahmakoun@Rose-Hulman.edu
DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS AND APPLIED OPTICS
ROSE-HULMAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
Postdoctoral positions are available to work on projects involving
wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) technology, RF signal
processing, and fiber Bragg gratings (FBG) for Optical True-Time Delay
(TTD) and phase- array beam steering. The project goal is to determine
the feasibility of a Wideband Optically Multiplexed Beamforming
Architecture (WOMBAt) using WDM architecture with optical parallel
TTD. The research includes application of photorefractive materials in
WDM devices and optical switching, fabrication of multiple FBG on
single fiber, and study of TTD architectures. Candidates with
background in photorefractive materials, fiber optics and RF photonics
will be given strong consideration. The salary would be in the
$42,000+ range based on experience and qualifications. The starting
date may be as early as September 1, 2001. Candidates should submit a
curriculum vita and arrange to have two letters of recommendation sent
to:
Dr.Azad Siahmakoun
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology
5500 Wabash Avenue
CM 178
Terre Haute, IN 47803
Inquiries may be sent via email to: Azad.Siahmakoun@Rose-Hulman.edu
