Abstract

This seminar covers the application of high resolution digital holographic (DH) systems in metrology and holographic displays. In metrological applications, the resolution limits of the DH microscope are related to the limits of metrological result. In this seminar, the limits related to two metrological applications in micro optics are presented, namely shape and 3D refractive index measurements. In display applications the resolution of the obtained 3D image is related to the viewing angle of the reconstructed scene. The extension of viewing angle is usually performed by multiplexing techniques(spatial or temporal), where then holographic display resolution is limited additionally by quality of calibration of multiplexing method. Within this talk the multiplexing and calibration methods are discussed.
