Newly-created Bell Labs Seoul (BLS) is recruiting research staffs in optics and photonics.  The first executive director and president of the organization is Dr. Randy Giles.

The positions are for people with a Ph. D. degree in electrical engineering, physics or related areas and the pay and benefits are highly competitive.  I would appreciate it if you can recommend recent graduates or soon-to-graduates who might be interested.  The initial thrust of the optics program at BLS will be application of novel photonics for pushing the envelope of transmission capacity in fiber optical communication but the quality of the candidate is more important than any particular research area he/she has done for the doctoral research.
