Abstract

There are many possible causes of viewer fatigue experienced by 3D display viewers. Among them, vergence-accommodation conflict is one of the most plausible causes of the fatigue. Especially, vergence-accommodation conflict has been studied extensively for a long time in optometry. In this seminar, I will overview the previous studies on vergence-accommodation conflict in 3D displays and optometry and talk about measurement of comfort zone for 3D display viewers in space with its horizontal coordinate of vergence and vertical coordinate of accommodation.
