1. Introduction of the Institute of Materials Science, NCST of Vietnam and its reserearch fields.
2. The basic research in the field of Photonic Materials :
+ High-concentration Rare-earth doped glasses made by Sol-gel method;
+ High concentration CdS-nanocrystallite in the glass matrix made by Sol-gel method;
+ Optical and Structural properties of the High-concentration RE or Nano crystallite doped
Glasses;
3. The basic research in the Optoelectronic Devices :
+ High-power RE-doped Fiber Lasers based on the Multimode-fiber and Multi-mode High
output power diode laser pumps : Some results of the side-pumps;
+ Fiberoptic Interferometer for " White-light interferometry " and its applications for optical
sensing;
+ Some results of the Mode-locked fiber laser research in Vietnam
4. Some R&D results of the Opto-electronics for Application in Vietnam :
+ Fiber sensors;
+ Opto-electronic deveices developed in Vietnam for the telecom.
