I am Byoungho Lee, professor at Seoul National University (Korea), serving as 2011-2012 FH Chair.

I am planning to send you regular-basis (every two months) messages reporting some news, recent OSA publications in our fields, conference information or chair’s opinions.

Let me introduce a little bit more about myself. My current research fields are digital holography, 3D display and plasmonics. I have been a topical editor of Applied Optics (Information Processing) for almost 6 years (So, my second and final term ends soon.). Currently I am also involved in a few OSA committees – Strategic Planning Committee and Members and Education Services Council (Vice-Chair). I am frequently attending OSA conferences. Currently I am in OSA Congress in Toronto and my next trip will be for CLEO Pacific Rim in Sydney in August. If you are attending, you are very welcome to approach me and chat together.

Let me inform you that Applied Optics is planning to publish a feature issue jointly with Chinese Optics Letters on Digital Holography and 3-D Imaging (leading editor: Prof. T.-C. Poon). The paper submission deadline is August 1, 2011. You are very welcome to submit your research results. If interested, please visit the following site:
