Abstract

Emerging digital signage is expected to draw more attentions and intuitively to provide information to viewers. We have investigated various information display techniques to improve attractiveness of digital signage, including 3D LED display, aerial LED signage, and hand-waving steganography. This seminar reviews recent researches on these display hardware and 3D perception.

Biography:

Hirotsugu Yamamoto received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan. After graduation, he joined The University of Tokushima, Tokushima, Japan, where he is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Optical Science and Technology.

His research interests include 3D display, secure display, and applications of information photonics.
